Shifu Sean began training with Si Gong Keith Blackburn, the founder of Kung Fu Martial Arts Academy, in 1991. He attained his black sash in 1994, and, after training for many years, he was awarded his red sash in 2002.  He has taught regularly at the academy since 1995 and specialises in traditional hand forms and sparring. He has also studied Hung Gar Kung Fu, western boxing and Hapkido.
