When we, or our kids are unwell, it is important that we get adequate rest to recover. This may mean that you will need to miss a class or two in order to help your immune system do its job. Plenty of fluids and bed rest are in order.
Sometimes, in our eagerness to train, or make sure our kids are up to date with their forms, we can head to the Academy when we are still unwell. Whilst an admirable work ethic, this behaviour often will slow down your recovery and at the same time put others at risk of contracting the illness. If you’re still coughing, sneezing, have a fever, or are spewing or have diarrhoea, it’s best to stay home (and if needed, seek appropriate medical advice).
If you or your child has missed several classes due to illness, please call Julie in the office (9899 9758) and request a make up class.
Proper hygiene in the Academy is also very helpful in keeping us all healthy; this means washing hands effectively (or teaching our kids how to do so), covering our mouth when we cough and nose when we sneeze, then washing our hands again.
